Boater Hats are well-known for their iconic and fashionable appeal, making them the perfect accessory for any social event, be it the Royal Ascot horse Races, Royal Regatta, a wedding, or simply a stylish day out.
In this course, you will learn the art of crafting a fabric boater hat on a buckram base and will gain essential skills such as:
- Blocking and constructing buckram base and hat foundation.
- Use the hat pattern for the base and the fabric
- Wire and trim the edge
- Apply securely fabric on the buckram base
- Create lining and stitch petersham sweatband
By the end of this course, you'll not only learn invaluable skills to carry on creating more, you will make your own beautiful boater hat but to take home.
The course is suitable for beginners and advanced milliners. Sewing skills are beneficial.
The Course duration is up to 5 hours depending on progress.
Time availability is flexible to accommodate your schedule: morning or evening hours are available.
